New paper by Valerie A. Luyckx et. al.: Ethical Challenges in the Provision of Dialysis in Resource-Constrained Environments

Dr Luyckx and colleagues discuss the Ethical Challenges in the Provision of Dialysis in Resource-Constrained Environments. This paper is one of a collection of articles in the May issue of Seminars in Nephrology on Global Health Issues in Nephrology, guest edited by Dr Luyckx, which aims to highlight gaps and potential solutions in knowledge, practice, and policy development relating to the prevention and treatment of kidney disease around the world. The issue brings together manuscripts compiled by experts on the ground that cover a broad range of topics highly relevant to nephrology practice in lower-resource settings. The issues addressed span the health system building blocks and emphasise the need for sustainable and just approaches to kidney disease world-wide.
