Anna Magdalena Elsner as invited speaker at the Sherwin B. Nuland Summer Institute in Bioethics at Yale University

In June-July 2017, Anna will give an Introductory Lecture to the Medical Humanities and teach a specialist seminar on Simone de Beauvoir’s Une mort très douce as part of the Sherwin B. Nuland Summer Institute in Bioethics. Particular topics of discussion will be the role of doctors, nurses and the doctor-patient relationship, the involvement of family in end-of-life care, and the controversies in the practice and philosophy of palliative care highlighted by Beauvoir’s text.
