DIPEx.ch, the official website of the DIPEx Switzerland research group, is now online and publicly accessible. On DIPEx.ch you will find patients’ stories illustrated by video and audio extracts from interviews with patients alongside commentary and contextual information on the health issue.
DIPEx Switzerland is led by a group of researchers from the
Institute of Biomedical Ethics and History of Medicine (University of Zurich) and the
Zurich University of Applied Sciences – School of Health Professions (ZHAW). They conduct narrative interviews, enabling an understanding of people’s experiences of health issues, and providing resources for information and support that are freely available to patients, family members, clinicians, the training of healthcare professionals, and other researchers. The systematic collection of evidence provides the opportunity to improve patient representation in clinically-relevant research, and similarly supplements teaching materials for healthcare professionals with important contextual information. The DIPEx Switzerland research group provides opportunities for inter-professional and interdisciplinary collaboration, including establishing dialogue between scientific, artistic and medical humanities disciplines.
