Ning Wang received the Latin American Leading House Grant

PhD candidate Ning Wang is awarded the 2020 Mobility Grant by the Leading House for the Latin Region. Mandated by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) of the Swiss Confederation, the Latin American Leading House acts to grant incentives and develop joint research cooperation projects with the Latin American region. For the period 2017-2020, the Leading House continues pursuing bilateral cooperation with priority partners to develop scientific relations with other countries that represent great potential for scientific and technological expansion.

Ning Wang will utilize this Leading House Grant in support of her pilot field study as part of the “Tichajil Drone Project" in Guatemala. During her field study, Ning Wang will conduct empirical research activities within the Ixil community – an indigenous community of ancient Mayans to Guatemala. This pilot field study is of critical importance to her upcoming research project focusing on responsible and value sensitive innovations.
