Ning Wang awarded the GRC Travel Grants

PhD candidate Ning Wang is awarded the Graduate Campus (GRC) Travel Grants by the University of Zurich. The GRC Travel Grants support short research stays of UZH junior researchers at other research institutes, or fieldwork carried out for their research.

Ning Wang will utilize this GRC Travel Grant in support of her pilot field study as part of the “Tichajil Drone Project" in Guatemala. During her field study, Ning Wang will conduct empirical research activities within the Ixil community – an indigenous community of ancient Mayans to Guatemala that is geographically isolated, and socially, culturally, economically and politically marginalized throughout history. This pilot field study is of critical importance to her upcoming research project focusing on responsible and value sensitive innovations.
