Short Bio

Annina obtained her BA in Biology with specialization in Cell Biology at the University of Bern. For her Master Studies in Biomedicine, she moved to the University of Zurich and completed a one year Master’s internship at the Clinical Trials Center Zurich (University Hospital Zurich). In the context of her Master’s thesis, she investigated the opportunities and challenges of the Human Research Ordinance, which mainly regulates research on health related personal data and biological material. During the internship, she actively contributed to clinical trials and research projects. Annina is currently pursuing a PhD at the Institute of Biomedical Ethics and History of Medicine at the University of Zurich with a focus on national and international informed / broad consent processes. In parallel, she works at the Clinical Trials Center Zurich as a Project Coordinator and International Association Manager within the Internation Clinical Trial Center Network (ICN).
