Corina Sgier holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MScN) from the University of Basel with the research topic „Needs of children who suffer early parental death“. She worked in different care settings in practical and educational activities. Currently she works as an Advanced Practice Nurse in a group practice and still gives individual lectures. Further on she works in the field of psychological first aid in the canton St. Gallen. In 2016, she joined the Institute of Biomedical Ethics, University of Zurich, Switzerland as a PhD student. Her main scientific interest concerns the study of ethical challenges in supporting families during early parental loss.
