IBME awarded the DSI Seed Fund

IBME awarded the DSI Seed Fund

The IBME has been successfully awarded a seed fund of CHF 15'000 by the Digital Society Initiative (DSI) at the University of Zurich. This fund application was submitted jointly by the IBME Director Prof. Dr. Nikola Biller-Andorno and PhD candidate Ning Wang.

The DSI provides an academic platform for promoting critical, interdisciplinary reflection and innovation on all aspects of the digitalization of society and the sciences. The DSI Seed Fund supports researchers to establish interdisciplinary collaborations in the forms of funding and management of proposed research projects, as well as communication with society and public community.

The awarded DSI Seed Fund will contribute to support a strategic IBME research project on the ethics of technology use in the humanitarian sector. With the constructive contribution of the DSI, the IBME is enabled additional resources to strengthen its research capacity and diversify its research themes.
