The researcher team of the Nursing Sciences of the University Hospital Zurich will prepare the systematic monitoring of the impact of the new DRG-payment system
on nursing service context factors (nursing and leadership competences, turnover, workload, quality
of care, job/work satisfaction, teamwork, resources, autonomy, and patient outcome data) in acute
hospitals (quantitative survey, qualitative interviews). The project intends to compare and contrast
the qualitative and quantitative results with those of other study groups, especially with those about
other health care professionals such as physicians, for instance in the regarding the issue of
