Chronic Pain in Focus: Ethical and Interprofessional Challenges in Outpatient Care
Chronic pain poses a complex health and ethical challenge in outpatient care. A Swiss qualitative study using DIPEx data reveals that while patients emphasize interpersonal aspects, health professionals – especially in physiotherapy – call for clear structures to enable effective interprofessional collaboration. The findings highlight the need for an ethically grounded, biopsychosocial approach to deliver truly patient-centered care.
