Lola Wilhelm's new publication: 'Tchernobâle' Reappraised. Technological Risk in Europe's Post-Stockholm Environmental Politics
Lola Wilhelm, Postdoc and Oberassistentin at the Chair for the History of Medicine, has contributed a chapter to the book "Environmental Regulation and the History of Capitalism. The Role of Business from Stockholm 1972 to the Climate Crisis". Edited by the historians Sandra Bott, Sabine Pitteloud, and Janick Marina Schaufelbuehl, the book appeared by Taylor & Francis, New York. In "'Tchernobâle' Reappraised. Technological Risk in Europe's Post-Stockholm Environmental Politics", Wilhelm asks how and to what extent the Schweizerhalle agrochemical accident shifted the nature of the environmental politics of Western Europe in the 1980s.
