I sudied philosophy and sociology at the Universities Luzern, Konstanz and graduated on Husserls phenomenology. After having finished my studies I went to München to study medicine. Here I also worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Ethics, History and Theary of Medicine, LMU Munich. Currently I am close to finishing my medical studies.
My research interest is on aspects of care for patients with chronic diseases.
In this context I am working as part of a larger project funded by the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences (SAMW) on Advance Care Planning (ACP) and Shared Decision Making (SDM) for elderly patients with symptomatic aortic stenosis. We want to define patient needs and develop a specific ACP/SDM concept by condicting a mixed method literature review, expert interviews, observations and qualitative interviews with patients. It is our goal to pilote the concept in outpatient clinics and general practitioners offices.
