Curriculum Vitae

Agomoni Ganguli-Mitra MSc., is an affiliated research fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Ethics at the University of Zurich and a PhD candidate at the department of Philosophy, University of Basel. She is completing her PhD dissertation as a Visiting Researcher at the Department of Philosophy and Kennedy Institute at Georgetown University. Her current work is funded by a Swiss National Foundation Grant and her dissertation topic focuses on biomedical research in developing countries.

Agomoni has a BSc in Cellular and Molecular Biology from University College, London and a MSc in Medical Ethics from Imperial College, London. She has been affiliated with the Institute of Biomedical Ethics since October 2005 and has worked on various projects including a three-year project  on Genetic Databases (in collaboration with the University of Geneva and the WHO), and a two-year project funded by the EU on the ethics of synthetic Biology (Synbiosafe).
Her current research interests include: ethical issues international biomedical research, bioethics in developing countries, global health and global justice.
