Workshop: Bioethics Research and Practice in Western Countries and Central Asia – A Comparative Perspective

This workshop brings together bioethics’ scholars from the IBME with professional officers and consultants from the WHO country office in Kazakhstan. The workshop gives participants the opportunity to discuss a range of current bioethics issues from a comparative and practice-oriented perspective. The focus of the workshop will be on ethical challenges in end-of-life care and public health policy in Western countries and Central Asia. Participants will have the opportunity to present their research to a diverse panel of scholars and practitioners and to discuss their research in an intercultural perspective.
