The white paper «Ethical, Legal and Social Issues of Big Data – a Comprehensive Overview» provides an overview of the key ethical, legal, and social challenges of big data and provides guidance for its use in several fields.
This work brings together the expertise of the ELSI Task Force for the National Research Programme 75 “Big Data” led by Markus Christen. Eleonora Viganò proposed and coordinated the writing of the white paper and contributed with the article “Big data and digital sovereignty”.

The articles of of the white paper and their commentaries are available in English, their summaries and the recommendations in German and French.
